For February candidates the 2011 Rome Festival Ballet (18 June to 10 July) has vacancies for classical ballet dancers and modern ballet dancers. The summer of 2011 will have WONDERFUL performance opportunities for dancers - over 11 performances with dozens of roles including some age appropriate roles for children. All performances will be with excellent musicians. The Rome Festival Ballet NEVER uses recorded music for any of its performances.... Please see the repertoire below.

During 2011 the Rome Festival will celebrate its 40th Anniversary. To help celebrate its 40th anniversary the Rome Festival will host the 2011 INTERNATIONAL CHOIR FESTIVAL IN ROME, ITALY (25 June to 10 July) SEE DETAILS BELOW AFTER THE REPERTOIRE LIST PLEASE SHARE

2011 ROME FESTIVAL BALLET PERFORMANCE DATES AND REPERTOIRE.

On June 30 the Rome Festival Ballet will repeat with the Rome Festival Orchestra
the enthusiastically received 2010 full production of its narrative ballet to
Beethoven's Sixth Symphony ("Pastorale"). The dances and sounds of nature in his "Pastorale" anticipates by a generation the romantic period. The Rome Festival Ballet fulfilled Beethoven's hope that dancers would enhance the village and forest scenes of his "Pastorale"

On July 9 the Rome Festival Ballet in collaboration with the Rome Festival orchestra.will create a new full ballet to Ravel's great impressionist orchestral work, "La Valse".

With the Rome Festival Opera, Orchestra, and Chorus the Rome Festival Ballet will also dance major passages in four performances of Verdi's comic masterpiece, "Falstaff", three performances of Donizetti's delightful "L'Elisir
d'Amore" and one performance of Bizet's beloved "Carmen".

Leading dancers from the Rome Festival Ballet will also perform several chamber
ballets to chamber music works written originally for for chamber ensembles which will be played by the Solisiti della Rome Festival Orchestra.

2011 INTERNATIONAL CHOIR FESTIVAL IN ROME, ITALY

The Rome Festival will hold its 2011 International Choir and Chorus Festival from 25 June to 10 July, 2011. Choirs and choral groups of every type may apply. Individual singers from around the world may apply.

Choirs and choruses will perform individually works they love to perform.

All the singers will form a large, single chorus to perform major works with the
renowned Rome Festival Orchestra.

The Rome Festival presents choral symphony concerts, choral and chamber music concerts, and fully staged opera and ballet in courtyards in the heart of the
inspirational historic center of Rome, Italy. The Festival has been continuously compared favorably to the prestigious Rome Opera and the national
orchestra of Italy.

The 2011 International Choir Festival in Rome, Italy will combine performing at a high artistic professional level with living in and experiencing in depth the "eternal city", the richest concentration of cultural treasures in the world.
Choral singers will visit these cultural treasures with experienced, professional guides to feel their beauty and truth.

Choral singers will live in the heart of the inspirational historic center of Rome so they can walk in the footsteps of the great composers and artists.

The Rome Festival will have receptions and social events for the choral singers so they can enjoy meeting performers from around the world.

Prior to arrival in Rome choral singers will receive a global schedule listing all Rome Festival musical, cultural, and social activities so that they can make good plans for their free time in Rome.

Choral singers who come to the Rome Festival together with friends and/or family
usually enjoy deeper and richer cultural and spiritual inspiration. Their memories last a lifetime.

CHOIRS AND CHORUSES

Email us to learn if space is still available. Include information about the size, repertoire, and nationality of the choir or chorus. When space is available, we may request an audition recording and information about recent performances.

INDIVIDUAL CHORAL SINGERS

Email us including your voice type, nationality, and recent performance experience. We will email you application instructions.
